SADAKO LOVES TO WEAR H&M WHEN SHE GOES TO H&M

I don’t know about you but I get a little embarrassed when I step in a store and the mannequin is wearing the exact same top I have on.

It’s so much worse when I encounter someone wearing the same piece. If the guy is hot, insecurity can kick in; if the guy is not hot, I feel as if my hotness levels go down, too. HAHAHA.


Anyway, Sadako doesn’t care when that happens to her. She is a five-year-old, after all.

In fact she likes it when she sees what she’s wearing on someone or something else.


When we go to H&M, she looks for the rack where what she’s wearing is in – and asks me for a photo opp.

There was also this one time when she was so amazed seeing this other girl wearing the same H&M dress with cat print that she just had to approach her and say hi.


Kids and their amazing skills in not giving a fuck.

Congratulations to shoe brand TOMS, which now has their flagship store at the Mega Fashion Hall of SM Megamall! I have to admit I’ve never owned a pair of TOMS so when I got to the store, I took my time and looked at EVERYTHING, from the men’s shoes to the even the women’s, plus those for kids, too. Now this has got to be my favorite and I have already promised my feet that I shall buy a beautiful polk-a-dotted pair once I get my 13 th month pay. Lakas maka-hot dad, noh? This looks pretty cool, too. Not-your-usual, but not too in-your-face. I AUDITIONED FOR SMOKEY MOUNTAIN

I loved singing and performing for relatives and guests at home when I was young. One time, when I was about four years old, my mother asked me to sing Tomorrow for our relatives who were visiting. I instantly burst into song. However, after singing the first line with so much passion, I decided to stop and asked to be excused. I went inside my room, did a proper entrance, and then whipped out my milk bottle, which I used as a microphone. I sang “The sun will come out tomorrow” again and finished the song. No doubt about it: even when I was just a kid, I already knew I wanted to sing and perform for others. Fast forward to my high school years. One day, I read in the papers that Ryan Cayabyab was forming an all-male version of Smokey Mountain. Of course, I just had to try out. I didn’t tell my parents about it. MY 3-YEAR-OLD IS ALREADY WEARING A BRA

And it’s Beyonce’s fault. See, Sadako has a thing for playing dress-up. She asks for a bandana or a scarf or any piece of cloth to be wrapped around her head whenever she wants to sing along to her favorite Erykah Badu song, “Bag Lady.” She makes sure she’s wearing her kitten heels whenever she performs Tamar Braxton’s “Love and War.” She grabs this piece of white piece of lacy fabric and puts it around her shoulders whenever she’s copying Christina Aguilera in her American Music Awards performance, where she sang a medley of tracks from her “Lotus” album, starting with “Lotus (Intro).” So going back to Beyonce, my little one discovered the talented star just recently when I popped in a DVD copy of her 2006 concert. It didn’t take long for Sadako to copy the star’s birits, moves, and get-ups.
